CAREER REPORT
After becoming a successful Spiritualist church platform medium in 1991, Gary has honed his talent to a fine art. He has blended his amazing psychic ability with his natural flair for entertaining audiences in theatres and other public auditoriums.
Gary became a professional medium in 1995 and has concentrated his efforts not only on large scale demonstrations of clairvoyance but also within the field of one to one consultations. Gary has consulted numerous stars of stage and screen including Coronation Street stars such as actor Ken Morley ( Randy Reg ) In his autobiography 'Knowledge is Power' Ken said that he was startled by the accuracy of his reading.
Gary has also read for the Coronation Street actress Julie Goodyear ( Bet Gilroy / Bet lynch ) Gary predicted over twelve months before the event that she would be awarded the MBE and receive it from the Queen herself.
Gary has twice performed his two hour one man show at the World famous City Varieties music hall in Leeds.
In 1998 Gary teamed up with popular T.V. personality Astrologer Russell Grant and fellow medium Billie Roberts to perform at the Beck theatre in Hayes Middlesex. Critics acclaimed Gary's demonstration as being 'First Class'.
TV personality Russell Grant stated that he thought Gary Dakin was a fine entertainer and said that his wit and audience control were a credit to him. 'His obvious gift leaves the audience baffled by the accuracy of information that Gary can give to a person that he has never set eyes on before'.
Since 1996, Gary has been a regular columnist in the Psychic World magazine and has specialised in writing about his own experiences in dealing with haunting's and other such paranormal incidents.
Gary hopes to continue to expand his potential as an author in the future and is currently working on an account of his personal paranormal experiences.
To date Gary's career has only touched the fringes of T.V. presentation. He has completed a pilot experimental recording for the Manchester based Live T.V. with regular presenter Nicola Crompton. Gary has also worked on Granada tv on the psychic livetime show.For Gary Dakin the future will certainly include many more television appearances.
In 1998, Gary agreed to take part in a paranormal debate at Liverpool University. He lectured and demonstrated his unique power to students and invited guests including James Randi the ex-magician and T.V paranormal pundit. Gary demonstrated how his psychic powers could successfully be use in Psychic criminal profiling, Gary was given a hammer that was used in a crime and gave accurate information to a select accademic and police audience, unfortunatly James Randi did not stay for the demonstration.
In 1999, Gary decided to further consolidate his base private reading area, Introducing telephone readings into his field of work and so concentrating less on audience based work. At first working for an agency Gary saw great potential in doing his own advertising and setting up his credit and debit card facility that is a great asset for him.
In 2000, Gary also steered his natural teaching ability towards workshops and seminars seeting up and running several for Salford community care concentrating on the use of psychic power in the workplace. Gary has been associated with similer event in the corporate workplace.
In 2005, Gary started work on his long running guest appearence slot on Manchester radio station Key 103 guesting every other tuesday with James H Reeve. Gary also started to build up his public demonstration appearences again by organisin to be on the books of many of the regions top theatrical agents and further concentrating on the corprate market place, both in entertainment and shill development.
